Venture into the heart of Chagres National Park and live a transformative experience with the Emberá community.
This day trip will take you by canoe down a river surrounded by virgin jungle, to an indigenous community that has preserved its traditions, its ancestral wisdom and its link with nature.
The experience begins with your hotel pick up and a trip to Lake Alajuela, in the Chagres National Park. There you will be met by members of the Emberá community, who will take you upriver in a traditional canoe. The navigation through the rainforest will connect you with an unspoiled and amazing nature.
Upon arrival at the community, you will receive a warm welcome, where you will learn about their customs, dances, art and way of life. You will visit a garden of medicinal plants with a local guide, enjoy a delicious typical lunch cooked by them and refresh yourself with a swim in the river.
It is an intimate, respectful and deeply human experience with one of Panama's most fascinating living cultures.
